It´s sunny and warm in Malmö, but in spite of the lovely summer weather I am trying to quilt a couple of hours every day. I have started to quilt Bulls Eyes, an old quilt top from 2005. Seven years ago I was very fond of Thimbleberry´s design in country colors.
But even if I work with bright bold colors today, I think this will be a very wonderful quilt.
Quilt lay out |
As the eyes have folded edges I have chosen to quilt it with straight lines through the eyes and with stitches surrounding the outer edges.

Kviltning av öga / Quilting of Bulls Eye
Det blir troligtvis små fjädrar runt ögonen sen.
I will probably quilt tiny feathers as filler around the eyes later.

SvaraRaderaDen quilten var häftig! Vilket jobb du lagt ner, tur du gör den klar nu så du får njuta av den!
SvaraRaderaHello my sweet B.I....how lovely this is...always nice to use up fabrics and not waste and create magical moments...
SvaraRaderaYour quilt is beautiful and your selection of quilting is beautiful. Even with air conditioning, it is hot in Oklahoma. I'm having trouble thinking about quilting. Yesterday it was 97 and with the humidity factor, it felt as if it was 105 degrees. I was in New Mexico at my daughter's for over 2 weeks. The day I left it was 100 degrees and since they have a much drier heat, it didn't feel as hot there as it does here. I need to think about quilting as I have a program committee meeting tomorrow for quilt guild. Then I have a 5-10 minute education segment at our monthly meeting the next week. That weekend I have a retreat with Laura Wasilowski. Then at the end of the month, I'm going on a quilt tour to England. I need to get some SMALL things to take to keep my hands busy. I have to be busy all the time and I'm not planning to take my computer. I've been cutting small (1" finished) hexagons to hand piece for Grandmother's Flower Garden (not EPP). Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilt and quilting.
