Puss och Kram/ Hugs and Kisses

It´s my day of this week full of lovely hearts and lots of hugs and kisses.

I have sewn some things before  with PP. You maybe remember the  blog hop with  PP bowls nearly  two years ago, yes time flies. And since then I have made some more things following this technique.
But to be honest it is not my cup of tea.

I am a person that has problem to resist challenges and here I am again participating in a blog hop with PP.

Valentine is not a big thing in Sweden, even if the flower shops have good inflow.
I have chosen two of Soma´s patterns, Hugs and kisses and made a bright table cloth.
Most of the days in February have been gray and rainy, but today the skye has brighten up a bit and I hurried out to take some out door pictures of my table cloth.

When I first have sewn the four blocks together with some sashings, I thought that this was not a nice thing and threw it away for some days, as I didn´t know how to finish it up.

I have some discussions with a quilting friend and then the idea with a four patch border came up.
And then I was in a happy mood again. The wonderful heart fabric together with the pink, just made the table cloth.

It was funny again to complete the table cloth with some FMQ, as I have begun to love it.

Here are some details of the table cloth

I have shown the table cloth for a good friend, who can´t sew at all, and this should be a belated birthday present, as she loved it.

The size of the table cloth is 28 " square.

Once again thanks lovely Samm and Suma that have made the designs and challenged me to try them.

Now hurry over to the other ladies of the day

Have a wonderful day blog hopping.

Even if it is gray again outside, it feels a bit like Spring.

Greetings from Sweden
Britt-Inger

  11. Good Morning Britt-Inger…or afternoon for you now…you know what surprises me is Valentines sounds more like a North American thing, am I correct? And yet Europeans tend to be much more affectionate and demonstrative in the HEART area…isn't that odd.? WEllllll your hugs and kisses are absolutely sweet as can be….and your friend will no doubt be showering you with them…it is gorgeous….
and wink over 2 years…amazingly quick those hours have been..

  13. Your non-sewing friend is going to be thrilled with the birthday present. Your quilting is superb! Isn't it great to have other friends who quilt? My best(est) quilting friend asked in our LQS about finding someone to bind a quilt for her, I told her she could do it. I don't know what her hangup was. We had a day to cut binding. She can be a perfectionist and gets upset when the seams do not meet perfectly at the edges on the bias. She likes to use a tool to cut on the bias and likes to lop the ends by hand, not using the tool. So, there might be a reason the seams don't look great! lol Anyhow, I put the strips perpendicular and marked the sewing lines and she stitched and I trimmed the seams. We each pressed. At the end of the evening, we had the binding made and not attached. I gave her the link to a great tutorial of one of the ladies who usually participates in these hops. Next thing I knew, the quilt was bound. Sometimes we just need a help over that hump - sometimes it's a physical nudge and sometimes it's a mental nudge. Your work is always a mental nudge. Thanks for participating.
